“The Professional Drinker”
I, “The Professional Drinker”, am a 20 something cocktail enthusiast with no experience as a professional bartender, but a strong passion for mixology. Working in the “industry”, I am privileged to enjoy many fine wines and spirits both professionally and socially. Everything I’ve learned comes from personal experimentation, mixology books, and advice from bartenders/mixologists that I have met along my journey. After accepting a wine & spirits sales position in the summer of 2006, I began to quickly realize my passion for drinking went beyond the usual Saturday night college party. Most people would call this alcoholism, I prefer to call it a hobby. Since taking my first drink my first weekend away at college, I’ve been intrigued by the time, effort, and technique that go into making a finely crafted cocktail. Intoxicology 101 is the result of combining that intrigue, with my passion for writing, and my new found love of photography. My goal is to give an unbiased opinion to you, the reader, on differences, and possibilities that each spirit and cocktail I come in contact with has to offer. On any given day I can be found in your local bar or restaurant sampling and savoring the newest and most innovative spirits and cocktails that are offered. When I’m not out, or at work, I can be found in my Orlando, FL home creating my own delicious concoctions.
